I cannot get past the last battle for act 3-1. It looks like I simply don't have a strong enough deck to either 1. Collect more coins to buy new cards or 2. Get off the act by finishing the last battle. I'm pretty frustrated so any help would be appreciated. I was having a lot fun with the game till now. I'm kind of regretting the purchase now because the game seem broken at this point. I've spent hours working different hands and I would think I'd at least get lucky by now. Until someone writes a walkthrough or I get good sound advice from here, then I'm done this game.

Act 1 was pretty brutal, if you finished that you're probably only one card away from getting out of any stuck situation. Might need to reserve some extra coins for act 5 though, I don't remember getting many there from the campaign.

Ok, unstuck. Played other modes and earned coins. Anyone that's unaware, like I was, the other modes will help you earn much needed coins. I my case I really needed a few extra in order to get cards to proceed!

Happy to hear you made it past the part you were stuck at. In general the game is designed to be pretty hard (but not impossible) if you don't do the other modes, but it somewhat depends on the luck of what you get in packs.
